I'm reading The Son by Philipp Meyer right now- it came highly recommended by many of the bookstores I work with. So far, it's violent but so vivid and well-written. I also enjoyed The Interestings by Meg Wolitzer. Age of Miracles has been sitting on my to-read pile for a year but I haven't gotten to it yet :)
ReplyDeletehi erin, i love getting book recommendations from you because you are so knowledgeable about that industry. thank you for those two new ideas!
DeleteThe Age of Miracles is beautiful. Grace is on my list too. Love your blog, btw.
ReplyDeletehi nadya, oh good i can't wait to sink my teeth into 'the age of miracles'. thanks for your kind words!
DeleteLove, love, love the artwork. The top left and bottom right would be framers for me. Kids art is simply the best. The salad looks amazing too. As far as books, I just read Lean In, which was great to read and be in the know about and am now moving on to Mrs. Dalloway. Want to get, The Interestings that Erin recommended, she said it was great. Let me know how you liked Grace, I've been eyeing it.
ReplyDeletehi karina- hearing from you always makes my day! i know, kids art is really up there on the happiness scale for me. you read so many interesting books, so i love to hear what is new and fresh. thanks! xoxo-molly
