we hosted christmas in newport this year and i sort of felt like i was playing dress-up. we got out our china, lit lots of candles, made a standing rib roast with yorkshire pudding and josh read 'twas the night before christmas before we tucked the girls in on christmas eve.
it was magical having my parents here. their presence makes things so much sweeter. and the girls talked more about baby jesus than santa and presents, so i was thrilled.
By the way, this was a wonderful post. I do love the texture of your home and the ease in which your family and friends enjoy your hospitality.
